A recent in vitro study assessed the effectiveness of hydrolyzed yeast cell walls and hydrolyzed yeast, both found in organic-certified Naverde® from Natural Biologics, in preventing Cryptosporidium parvum infection in dairy calves. C. parvum causes cryptosporidiosis, which leads to diarrhea and dehydration and can even be fatal for calves under six weeks of age. The study found a significant reduction in the attachment of sporozoites, with inhibition increasing based on the dosage. Naverde achieved binding inhibition rates of 58.62% at 40 mg/mL and 72.47% at 60 mg/mL. While the study was conducted in vitro, these results provide promising evidence that Naverde can be an effective natural alternative for managing cryptosporidiosis in dairy calves. #NaturalBiologics
