Happy #FabFriday! Spillage between idlers was a major issue at a duroc silo feeder, and the existing guards were difficult to remove, making maintenance a hassle. Our team stepped in with a complete ASGCO 20’ Load Zone upgrade. We adapted the skirt walls to fit the silo, installed Slide-N-Roll beds for smoother material flow, and added urethane canoe liners for durability. The system now features MDX clamps with ORG for secure fastening and a Safe-Guard Flat Panel System for improved safety. Happy #FabFriday!We redesigned a #cement clinker chute to correct off-center loading, which was damaging the skirting system and causing belt mis-tracking. Using 3DEM simulations, we optimized the flow and eliminated wear points with a “dead bed” and rock box. The chute was lined with chromium carbide panels for durability and easy maintenance. To strengthen the load zone, we installed a 24’ ASGCO enclosed skirting system with AR400 liners, MDX clamps, ORG skirting, and dust curtains. A 4’ ASGCO Cradle Impact Bed and 20’ of Slide-N-Roll beds were added to maintain a dust-tight seal. This upgrade significantly improved material flow, reduced belt mis-tracking, and extended the system’s lifespan. The fully lined chute, equipped with 1” thick Tuffbraze 600 work-hardened wear liners, is securely in place, providing superior durability and wear resistance. The counterbored and countersunk bolts eliminate potential wear points, reducing exposure to material flow and impact. This ensures maximum efficiency and uptime for the plant. They needed ASGCO load zones pre-assembled on channels to minimize installation time and reduce downtime—and we made it happen! Our solution? Two ASGCO Enclosed Skirtboard Systems, fully equipped with Dura-Tuff Canoe Liners, Clamp-Mounts, ORG, Slid-ler, Slide-N-Roll bed, and Dust Curtains, all pre-assembled and mounted on C9 X 13.4 structural support channels. This plug-and-play system allows the plant to remove the old load zone and weld the new one into place in one seamless step for maximum efficiency.
