Sunshine State Story: Our First Ergo Conference ! This year, our team had the incredible opportunity to participate in the Applied Ergonomics Conference 2025 in Orlando Florida for the very first time. While we didn’t bring home a win, we returned with a treasure trove of something just as valuable experience, new connections - learnings and a renewed sense of purpose. This was our team's first foray into the conference, and Competing in an international arena with Fortune 500 companies challenged us to think differently and refine our approach. We were inspired by the cutting-edge ideas and solutions presented by fellow participants. We met industry experts and saw firsthand best practices shaping the future of ergonomics. Most importantly, we learned that Not every competition ends with a win, but every experience adds to our growth… Not First but Forward… A huge Thank You - to our team for their hard work and dedication, to our Leaders Amol Nagar, Abhijit Khandekar, Vishal Aher, Amber Geidel, CSP, CSHM, CFEI, Ben Zavitz, CPE Milind Lande for the opportunity, to counterparts for all help & cheer, to booth buddies, IISE USF & Applied Ergonomics Society to learn & grow together and to everyone who supported us along the way. Every challenge has only strengthened our commitment towards innovation. Not winning didn't deter us… instead, it fueled our determination to improve and prepare for stronger come back. Tejal Dholi, KULDEEP KHABALE Truly Grateful for the opportunity to compete globally , connect with inspiring minds and represent with GE Aerospace Purpose & Pride. Onward and upward - see you at the next one! #GratefulForTheExperience #InspiredbyInnovation #Resilience #NeverStopLearning #FailForward #Ergonomics #ContinuousImprovement #GE Proud #AEC 2025

💡 Ergonomic innovations: how to avoid BS and achieve what matters. ✅ Focus on capabilities, outcomes, solutions, and education. ❌ Don't get distracted by names, categories, gadgets, and hype. 😄 I had a lot of fun creating and delivering this talk at the #AppliedErgo2025 conference. I shared a bunch of stories and several major mistakes I've made during my career. I also compiled various lessons and insights from watching the #exoskeleton and exosuit field evolve and mature over the last 20 years. 🎯 I then condensed all these mistakes and lessons into a simple framework I use to think about and get the most out of new innovations. 💪🏽 This framework applies when developing new innovative tech. It's also useful when assessing, using, or implementing innovations developed by others. The talk focused on ergonomics and #safetyinnovations, but the advice applies to innovation in other aspects of your professional and personal life. ⚡️ This talk is 30 minutes long (or 20 minutes at 1.5X playback speed). IISE and the Applied Ergonomics Conference organizers were very kind to record this presentation and make it freely available online. ▶️ Check it out if you're interested in innovation, or curious about how I think about this topic. 🍻

Just wrapped up an incredible experience at the Applied Ergonomics Society's #AppliedErgo2025, where I had the honor of serving as a judge for the Ergo Cup® competition! It was truly inspiring to see firsthand the level of innovation and dedication from teams across the world —proudly representing organizations like Tesla, Toyota Motor Corporation, The Coca-Cola Company, Lockheed Martin, GE Aerospace, Cintas, Gulfstream Aerospace, Cargill, Honda, Michelin, Ford Motor Company, to name a few. The passion and ingenuity behind their projects reaffirmed just how impactful human factors/ergonomics can be in shaping safer and more efficient workplaces. Evaluating these groundbreaking solutions and engaging with the brilliant minds behind them was both energizing and insightful. I especially enjoyed getting to know the operators, technicians, and reps behind the ideas. It’s amazing to witness the evolution of the field and the forward-thinking approaches that are setting new standards in ergonomics, human factors, and workplace safety. Huge congratulations to all the teams that participated and made it to the finalist's floor—you are driving real change! Looking forward to seeing how these innovations evolve at next year’s Ergo Cup and beyond! Nos vemos el año que viene en #AppliedErgo2026 en Arlington, TX!
