You Know How to Play Chess? – Part III: Checkmate from Space

So... there was the great player, moving pieces like someone who already knows how the game ends. On the other side? The 'guy with an imaginary rulebook', thinking every move is a 'stroke of genius'.... NOT! But really, just a mediocre player.

When the great player shut down their offices and laid off the team, the mediocre player thought, "Gotcha!" But like all amateurs, he totally underestimated his opponent. The great player had it all planned. Every move the mediocre player made – fines, bans – was as predictable as a beginner’s chess manual.

Come on... does anyone think $5.05 million means anything to someone who invests billions in electric cars, rocket ships that land themselves, the biggest satellite network, and soon, maybe, humanoid robots? Really... need to draw it out for you?

While the mediocre player tried to 'defend democracy', the great player had already predicted every reaction, turning over the game to the audience. Ignoring orders didn’t hurt the great player – it only made the world notice how the mediocre player was twisting the law to create 'his version' of democracy. Just a classic 'Bananaland move'. The world’s watching, and instead of a hero, the mediocre player’s seen as just another buffoon, an idiot.

Then, like a total newbie, the mediocre player made a weak move, banning 'The Platform' – yeah... you know 'the letter' of The Platform – in the name of 'democracy', of course. His crowd cheered, not even realizing what’s really going on. Meanwhile, the great player just smiled, teaching a whole country how to use VPNs – even grandmas got in on it. Plus, everyone’s now talking about what’s happening in Bananaland.

yeah... you know 'the letter' of The Platform! 😉

In the end, the audience got it: this wasn’t just about fines or bans. It was the great player exposing a fragile system where a mediocre player can make up laws as he goes. But now the world’s seeing how this guy plays... in Bananaland, maybe the new rules stick, but in the real world? Nah.

And the mediocre player? Still trying to rewrite the rules while the great player is two steps ahead. Something tells me soon enough, he won’t be able to visit Mickey Mouse anymore and will be stuck "winning" only in Bananaland.
