Windows-11 transfer tool?
LinkedIn is owned and operated by Microsoft, so I decided to post this here, because it is a strategy f***-up, rather than a technical support issue.
With the impending demise of Windows-10 support, I recently helped someone with setting up a newly purchased Windows-11 system because their current Windows-10 system was unable to run Windows-11, see PC Health Check.
Like many users the system is used for email, Internet and general Microsoft Office products, Excel mainly. The individual is Windows literate because they use a computer at work each day, but they are not an IT engineer or tech-savvy person.
Transferring the documents, spreadsheets, pictures, video files went smoothly, but I doubt most users will know how to do this!
For email, like many people, there were subfolders to classify/archive old emails. While every Junior IT Desktop support yells PST files! This is by no means easy because 'Outlook New' has no import or export features. Contacting Microsoft support, I was told import/export was no longer possible because 'Outlook New' does not support it!
It is possible with 'Outlook for Windows (classic)', but this is no longer on the Microsoft store, see How to download the ‘old’ Outlook app if you hate the new one for a means to download. This works for the moment.

I am still uncertain what to recommend in this case, their email is imported and usable using 'Outlook Classic' but I have no idea how to migrate this properly to 'Outlook New'. They have an Office 365 subscription, but will that mean 'Outlook Classic' will be supported?
For the sake of this post, can anyone reading this, convince Microsoft they should provide some sort of transfer tool. After all, this exists for mobile phones, even if you switch vendor/platform.
Personally I could image a 'Transfer Co-Pilot' which creates a dedicated secured connection, (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth) between the old and new devices and an Assistant (Wizard for those old enough to remember these) to help people with the transfer of content. It could even provide a utility for wiping the old device and maybe a factory Windows-10 reinstall.
