Air France's New First Class La Première Seats Are Now Flying—Here's What to Expect

With a destination as fashionable as France, it's only natural that its national carrier should have the most stylish first-class cabin in the skies. Air France's new first-class seats and passenger experience, named La Première (meaning first in French, naturally), is now flying daily between Paris and New York, after its inaugural flight on April 8, 2025. In addition to New York, the new first class will gradually be made available on flights to Los Angeles, Singapore, and Tokyo-Haneda this year. The supremely chic suites come with food by Daniel Boulud, Jacquemus pajamas, and five windows to yourself.

How Indian Restaurants Became the Hottest Reservations in New York City

For as long as there has been a South Asian diaspora in New York City, there have been Indian restaurants in some capacity—from dependable takeouts to affordable delis and, in recent decades, upscale restaurants. However, in the last few years, not only have more Indian restaurants opened than ever before, but they’re also taking bigger swings, with ambitious menus that spotlight lesser-known regional dishes. And diners can’t seem to get enough of them: Some of the hardest reservations to land in the city are now Indian restaurants, with locals and tourists clamoring to get their names on the list. A wave of regionally focused openings are causing diners to reconsider their notions of what Indian food should look and taste like.
