Knowledge Without Action
We have all heard that knowledge is power. Is it? Most people think so, therefore it must be true. Right? Maybe not. Granted, it would be difficult, if possible at all, without a lot of pure luck, to succeed at anything without at least some level of knowledge. But what is the spark that makes knowledge so powerful?
When Bill Gates got interested in computers and the future of the internet there were hundreds, if not thousands, of others who knew just as much about the future of the industry as he did. In a Larry King interview, he said that the difference between him and all the others was that he took immediate and massive action. Did all of you fellow procrastinators out there hear that? He took massive and immediate ACTION. In fact, he took so much action that it led to him being forced to make another decision. He had to decide on whether he would be the big dog in software or hardware because he was becoming a monopoly in the overall field of computing.
Everyone has knowledge but not everyone uses that knowledge to benefit their futures. Only the ones who combine that knowledge with action will reap the full benefits of their knowledge. Those are the ones that will accomplish their dreams in life. That is the spark that will ignite your life.
May all of your sparks become raging fires of success.
