A way to decrypt files infected by Jigsaw Ransomware

If anyone doesn't know what jigsaw ransomware is, Its a type of virus which encrypts all your files and asks for money to decrypt the files. Every passing hour, 1 file is deleted. If in 72 hours you don't pay the money, all the files are deleted. But fortunately, there is a way to get your files back without paying the money. Just follow these steps and stay secured.

  • First of all, terminate these processes by going to the task manager .    firefox.ex and drpbx.exe .
  • Now run MSConfig and disable startup entry called firefox.exe that points to the executable at %UserProfile%\AppData\Roaming\Frfx\firefox.exe.
  • Download this file (JigSawDecrypter.zip) and extract the files and follow the onscreen instructions.
  • Congrats, you have successfully decrypted your files.

But as always, it's better to be preventive rather than in the position to follow these steps.
