The National Metrology Institute of the Netherlands, VSL is pleased to invite you to participate in our Accredited Proficiency Testing schemes.

Proficiency testing is a powerful method to determine the continuous competence of the individual laboratories for specific measurements. Demonstration of the technical competence is a requirement of ISO/IEC 17025 section 5.9, which is used for the accreditation of laboratories. In the interlaboratory comparisons of VSL, your performance is compared with your colleagues/competitors in a direct way. Anonymously, professionally, reliably and always with an absolute but especially also very important relative score.

The outcome of the reports enables you to convince your customers that you provide a high-quality package of services that can brilliantly stand the test of competition.

Also, if your laboratory is not accredited, proficiency testing is a valuable tool for quality assurance.

Furthermore, in the case of significant deviations VSL enables you to quickly find the root cause for the problem. In this way you create a continuous process of improvement, which is something that has been adapted by all prominent laboratories.

VSL has more than 30 years of experience in interlaboratory comparisons. We organize interlaboratory comparisons and proficiency testing (PT) schemes in many different fields, from pressure, mass and viscosity to chemical analysis, and from temperature and humidity to electricity, length and gas flow.

As of September 25th, 2013, our PT accreditation scope includes all of our calibration capabilities across all technological fields which are listed in our very extensive calibration scope, which is ISO/IEC 17025 accredited (reg.nr. K999).
