VALEMO orders 2 wind LiDAR from EPSILINE

Recently, VALEMO acquired two YawAdvisor™ wind LiDARs, developed and manufactured by the French company EPSILINE based in Toulouse, France.

The YawAdvisor™ is a nacelle-mounted wind LiDAR which measures the yaw misalignment of wind turbines. A yaw misalignment leads to production losses and increased stress loads on the wind turbine.

This investment is the result of a collaborative work between VALEMO and EPSILINE since two years. During this period, VALEMO and EPSILINE have realized two campaigns on two different technologies of wind turbine. The first campaign has been done on a SENVION MM92 wind turbine and the second one on a GE 2.5xl. Results of these campaigns have been fully satisfactory and lead to the decision to invest into two YawAdvisor™ in order to increase VALEMO's capacity to provide this service to its customers.
