Using Power Automate to get rid of trash email

Tired of tons of useless newsletters in the email? The 'unsubscribe' button does not seem to clean the stuff?

I'm a little bit bored during this holiday morning, tidying my email, so I've created a quick and easy solution using Power Automate (formerly Flow) in 2 steps. I know there's an 'unsubscribe' button in most of trash emails I get in my inbox, but it does not seem to work always. So my solution only requires to add sender names or descriptions I don't want to receive email in an Excel file.

First, I've created an Excel file with a table with the list of trashy senders. I just write anything that I see in the From field, no need to be exact addresses or account names. Put the Excel file in a place of easy access (in my case, in Teams)

Second, a small Flow in Power Automate that, whenever an email arrives, checks the from field against the Excel table values. If the from field contains the value from the Excel, it deletes the email and laugh with evil voice.

I will not see email from senders from the list anymore.

Here is a pic of the Flow. Quick and easy

So, from now, anytime I receive some trashy email, I'll go to the Excel file quickly accessible in Teams and add a new line to the table.

Third, optional: just for fun, I've created a flow that loops the email looking for old trash email and deletes it. I'm tempted to execute it with a big asterisk* in the Excel file :-)
