UNIMAGINABLE...
“they can code better than let’s call it 60%, 70% of coders. We’re talking highly skilled jobs that pay really good salaries… a lot of that work is going to go away… That’s doing to duplicate itself across professions… whenever you have big disruptions like this, that is going to require us to reorganize our societies.” – former President Barack Obama, April 8
Although the premise I put forth in my UNIMAGINABLE research report that we will see massive disruption of the white collar class seemed pretty radical when I published it less than two months ago, it no longer seems unimaginable.
And it looks like OpenAI is about to open up the NEW ECONOMIC FRONTIER of New Research Discoveries as it seems to have reached Innovator, the fourth tier of its five-tier AGI roadmap, with the launch of o3 and o4-mini. As I explored in my research report, I expect these models will soon power AI Agent Scientists who will be able to exponentially accelerate medical and scientific breakthroughs by bringing together AI R&D and cross-domain intelligence workflows, giving rise to a Research Renaissance. As Sam Altman just tweeted:

“i think this is gonna be more like the renaissance than the industrial revolution” –Sam Altman, CEO, OpenAI, April 18
Note: This is a photo I took last month of Brunelleschi’s Dome in Florence, just after presenting insights from my latest research report, "UBERNOMICS… THE NEW ECONOMIC FRONTIER", at an exclusive family office investment conference in Rome. My report explores how the introduction of AI Agent Capital will result in one of the greatest capital supply shocks we have seen since the Second Industrial Revolution. My thesis is this will lead to the epitome of what Joseph Schumpeter calls “creative destruction” as we are about to experience the unimaginable simultaneous destruction of the white collar class and the creation of new economic frontiers.

1wThanks, Barb. Your insight is truly valuable. It is one of the few “value” and insight contributions I watch for on a LinkedIn increasingly devoted to the “humblebrag”.

2wI love the juxtaposition of Creative Destruction and the photo of a beautiful Renaissance Church in Florence. The color of our collar is changing yet again, perhaps even to a life without collars...
