True professional network
The job portals are slowly fading away and most of the jobs are filled through referrals from known sources in the network. We will have thousands of professionals connected with LinkedIn, but how many of them helpful or useful when it comes to referrals. We hardly see people who care about referral messages. We can understand that all are busy in their work, but it is a great gesture to spend one- or two-minutes time to refer the person who is in desperate need of a job. If we cannot spend time for such a small help, I think the LinkedIn is merely meant to increase the number of connections a and liking messages. Professionals want to have huge connections but cannot help the needy. I don’t understand the logic. Do you agree? If you get a response/acknowledgement when you seek help through LinkedIn referral, he/she is the true professional meant to be in our network. We can’t expect them to get us job which may not be in their hands, but at least the response gives you the satisfaction that you have the true professionals in your network. Do you Agree??????
