Troubleshooting Live Teams Calls
I had an issue yesterday where I saw the "Poor Network Quality" error pop up during a Teams call with a colleague. We typically don't have any issue with Internet on either side, so was surprised.
One of the first things you could do is a quick Speed Test, but Teams offers a another way to also troubleshoot live Teams calls.
In the Teams admin center, go to Users > choose the user having the issue.
Can see 7 day quality there:
as well as finding the exact call and and tracing the issue back to an individual.
I noticed my system CPU was quite high, was able to go into Task Manager and see what was eating all that up.
Sort by CPU in the Task Manager.
After closing my Chrome tabs, I was able to have better audio on my Teams calls.
Also remove pre-fetch and erase cookies.
There's also a Call Quality Dashboard that has this information in the Teams Admin Center.
