Tiziana Lorenzelli | Naturalismo Cosmico

Cortesi Gallery Lugano reminds you the opening of its new exhibition Naturalismo Cosmico (Cosmic Naturalism), which will be held today, 19 May, from 17:30 to 19:30 in the presence of the artist Tiziana Lorenzelli, at Via Nassa 62, 6900 Lugano.

An eclectic and transversal artist, Tiziana Lorenzelli transforms the gallery's spaces into a universe of metallic and brilliant installations, some specially conceived for the exhibition curated by Vera Canevazzi.

The works on show, from large site-specific installations to small "floating" sculptures, are made with a material created by the artist: ALUFLEXIA® Recyclable Aluminium, an aluminium sandwich, 100% recyclable, flexible and light, easily mouldable, capable of maintaining its final shape.

Nature is the exhibition's main theme, meant in all its terrestrial and cosmic forms, the mechanism of the forces that regulate it, and the increasingly urgent need to protect it. It is conceived in its mutability, ongoing transformation, and evolution with other elements, with the space surrounding it, with light and with us as spectators who attend to a universe's cosmogony, its very creation and becoming of the celestial world. Tiziana Lorenzelli wants to recreate this cosmic-spatial dimension dominated by forces fields; by immersing us into a real sculptural constellation in which each work is designed and created together with the surrounding environment.
