Tips on Grant Writing for the Field of Aging

Along with my colleague William Lane, I will be speaking this Tuesday, March 22, at the American Society on Aging conference in Washington on "Ten Practical Tips for Grant writers in Aging: What to Write and What not to Write (and Where to Apply)."     Hope to see some of you there if you are also attending.

If not, here are just a few of those tips:  Don't confuse grant writing with fundraising, pre-plan your grant proposals before you see a grant opportunity,  forge an alliance with academia for help with research and evaluation, and, when possible, re-frame your proposal so it will be of interest to funders who do not normally fund aging services.
