TECHNOLOGY|MEDICAL ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORK Vs. CONVOLUTIONAL NEURAL NETWORKS

It is understandable to wonder why I chose the topic of technology. When you hear "technology" mentioned anywhere, the only thing that comes to mind is brand-new inventions. Is this a current issue in the future? What do you think about the creation of artificial intelligence, which has the potential to alter human life and impact on medical field ANNs Vs. CNNs? And how do you experience it?

Today, through my article, I share my thoughts after researching how machine intelligence technologies impact human life.

Today, I talk about MEDICAL Artificial intelligence AI;

HISTORY:

  • The word "AI" was first used by John McCarthy in 1956 to refer to the engineering and science of creating intelligent machines.
  • Artificial intelligence (AI), the most ancient and in-depth subfield of computer science, focuses on research machines that can learn and think like people.
  • As a result, it is often referred to as "machine intelligence" to set it apart from human intellect. 

HOW AI IMPACTS ON MEDICAL FIELD:

As we all know, AI is spread out in all fields, not only in the computer field but also in transforming medical sciences and their future. Reference

 Artificial intelligence (AI) technologies are being utilized in the medical field to improve patient care and expertise and help doctors by employing AI advisors.

  • AI addresses inquiries about prescriptions, such as the availability of medications and affordable alternatives to those drugs.

ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORK (ANN):

The phrase "artificial neural network" is borrowed from biological neural networks, which help form the human brain's framework.

Similar to how neurons in the human brain are connected, neurons in artificial neural networks are likewise coupled to one another at different levels of the networks. These cells are referred to as nodes.

The Benefits of Artificial Neural Networks (ANN):

  • The numerical value of artificial neural networks allows them to carry out multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Face-to-face interactions with technology are effortless thanks to ANN's robust facial recognition, voice assistants, and picture analysis capabilities.
  • Self-driving automobiles are made possible by ANNs, improving safety, lowering accidents, and revolutionizing travel.

Convolutional Neural Networks CNNs:

Convolutional neural networks, sometimes called CNNs or ConvNets, are a subclass of neural networks that are particularly adept at analyzing input with a grid-like architecture, like images. Binary visual data is represented as a digital image. It has several pixels arranged like a grid, and each is assigned a value to indicate the brightness and color of each pixel.

Comparison of ANNs and CNNs in the Medical Field:

  • Artificial neural networks (ANNs) and convolutional neural networks (CNNs) have significantly improved human health.
  • Medical imaging with CNNs is excellent, allowing for early illness detection and precise therapy planning.
  • ANNs, on another present, support drug development, personalized treatment, and patient outcome prediction.
  • Healthcare is being revolutionized by these technologies, which improve patient care overall and diagnostics and treatments.

CONCLUSION:

According to my opinion,

  • CNNs and ANNs significantly impact the medical community and everyday daily life.
  • In addition to facilitating and streamlining day-to-day operations, they enable medical personnel to deliver better treatment.
  • Prospects are intriguing as these AI technologies advance and positively impact human life.
  • The key to maximizing their advantages while minimizing the possible hazards will be to take care of ethical concerns and ensure ethical AI research.
