🛗 Figma Shortcuts

It’s funny how many times people ask me about Figma shortcuts. The shortcuts below I use in a daily basis.

• Option + L to collapse all layers to make your layers panel more neat and organized.
• If the layers you wanna select are locked, Right Click on the top of the layer, and Figma will show it on the layer panel.
• Command + Y to have an x-ray view of your design
• And, the one I don’t like to teach people Option + Command + B to detach an instance from the main component. This just help people to destroy the Design System in place.

🦸🏿 ♂️ The Super App (again)

The not-so-visionary Elon Musk is trying to build a Super App, a long-time idea that western countries have attempted to implement by copying the Chinese startup model. One of the dominant mobile players in Brazil failed miserably in changing western user behavior.

Elon is now trying to sell this idea to the USA again. I'm curious to see if he will succeed after ripping off more than 75% of Twitter's employees.

📐 Give me some space

Whenever we work on a project, I make sure the size is organized using a grid system of 8 points or 4 points. Do yourself a favor, read this article and apply as much as possible to your next project (especially in Typography).

🗓 Events

This week we had back in-person Adobe MAX with a lot of interesting sessions. I just watched this session about AR by Samantha Cannon. Take a few hours in the next few days to watch some of the sessions.

The other one in-person is Schema by Figma, starting next week. I’m also waiting for the virtual that will take place in November.
