Start Deployment Manager, Node Agent, Application Server

Open a command prompt and log in as the WebSphere Application Server Administrator User.

1. Start Deployment Manager

Go to the /opt/IBM/WebSphere/AppServer/profiles/Dmgr01/bin folder and run:

>>> ./startManager.sh        

2. Start Node Agent

Go to the /opt/IBM/WebSphere/AppServer/profiles/AppSrv01/bin folder and run:

>>> ./startNode.sh        

3. Start Application Server

Go to the /opt/IBM/WebSphere/AppServer/profiles/AppSrv01/bin folder and run:

>>> ./startServer.sh MXServer        


You can configure the Application Server Monitoring Policy settings to automatically start the Application Server after the Node Agent starts.

Below are the steps to configure automatic restart of the Application Server from WebSphere Console:

  1. Click Servers, then click Server Types, then click WebSphere application servers.
  2. Select the Maximo Application Server (MXServer).
  3. Click Java and process management under the Server Infrastructure section.
  4. Select Monitoring policy.
  5. Check the Automatic restart and then select RUNNING as Node restart state.
  6. Click Ok and then Save.
