Spotlight on our work with 'R Textiles

Recycling fashion’s luxury excess waste is complex. We know it. Because we do it. At The R Collective, we see all types of waste - even the toughest! - as an opportunity.

That’s why we specialise in recycling some of fashion’s toughest excess materials, including highly IP-sensitive, luxury fabrics and garments that carry distinctive prints and logos.

How we’re solving this challenge - with circularity at heart!

IP-sensitive materials aren’t just any type of ‘excess’. No, no, no! Due to their distinctive prints, logos and patterns, these materials are highly protected brand assets, which therefore can’t easily be reused as-is or resold as-is. That’s where we step in.

We collaborate with various global luxury fashion brands to recycle their complex IP-sensitive materials. We devise best-in-class, secure recycling solutions to provide viable and circular solutions.

Less talk, more action!

Step 1: We Rescue Waste

We work collaboratively with our long-standing luxury fashion brand partners to rescue their excess materials. Based on their complex incoming materials, different fibre-types and locations around the world, we then develop the best recycling supply chains to enable circularity.

Step 2: We Recycle Waste - into R Textiles

We work with our expert recycling partners to shred the materials back to fibres. In doing so, we anonymize the original IP-sensitive materials and transform unwanted materials into ‘new’ recycled yarns and fabrics, which we call R Textiles.

Step 3: We turn R Textiles into Responsible Products

With our new R Textiles in hand - or heart, because this recycling is a labour of love! - we then produce responsible products. We typically recirculate our beloved R Textiles recycled materials back to our original brand partner, to support their own circular journeys.
