Sharing Our Ball Badminton Team’s Dual Achievement Experience at the SREC Alumni Trophy
It gives me immense joy and pride to share the wonderful experience of our Ball Badminton team’s recent participation in the SREC Alumni Trophy tournament. As the coach of our two teams, SNS A and SNS B, witnessing their spirited performance and securing III and IV place in this highly competitive event was a truly rewarding moment.
The SREC Alumni Trophy has always been a prestigious tournament, bringing together talented teams from various institutions. This year’s tournament was no different, with high-energy matches and skilled players putting forth their best. The atmosphere was electric, filled with cheers, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship.
We entered the tournament with two teams, SNS A and SNS B, each comprising talented and hardworking players. Right from the knock out matches, our players displayed great coordination, determination, and fighting spirit on the court. Every smash, every dive, and every strategic move reflected their passion and practice. Both teams showed consistency in their game, overcoming tough opponents in the league stages and advancing to the knockout rounds.
The SNS A team, with its experienced players, made a strong statement throughout the tournament. They fought some nail-biting matches, showing resilience and teamwork. Though they narrowly missed out on a place in the top two, clinching the III place was a proud moment for all of us. Their focus, aggressive play, and smart strategies made them stand out among many skilled teams.
The SNS B team, on the other hand, was a mix of upcoming young talents and a couple of senior players. Their journey to IV place was equally commendable. They gave tough competition to higher-seeded teams and showed remarkable composure, especially in tight situations. For a team that was relatively new to such high-pressure tournaments, their achievement speaks volumes about their potential and determination.

As a coach, this dual achievement holds special meaning. It is not just about the trophies or the positions but about how both teams carried themselves on and off the court — with discipline, unity, and sportsmanship. The efforts during practice sessions, the hours spent perfecting their skills, and the bond they’ve developed truly reflected in their performance.
I feel genuinely happy and proud as a coach to see my players growing, both as athletes and individuals. Their commitment, positive attitude, and hunger to excel have set a fine example for the upcoming players in our institution.
This achievement at the SREC Alumni Trophy has added another memorable chapter in our team’s journey. It motivates us to aim higher in the upcoming tournaments and continue this spirit of excellence. I take this opportunity to thank all the players, supporting staff, and well-wishers who have stood by our team and contributed to this success.
Together, we move forward — stronger, wiser, and more determined than ever!
