Rural India Valuation
Today at Boinchi (A very small rural town in Hooghly District, West Bengal, India), myself, my brother-in-law and his friend Tapash'da (We Bengalis normally add "da" after name for respect in seniority) was standing and gossiping at road side. In the mean time a Tribal Girl, having full of dust in her empty thin legs, aged around 12, looks like from a very poor family, was passing with an empty mug. Tapash'da asked for some water and she said "dischhi kaku" which means I am bringing water for you. She disappeared and after a short period she came with full mug of water.
After drinking water from her mug, Tapash'da greeted with a mud voice "Thank you" in reflex and more shockingly She said "Welcome" in reflex with full of joy. Surely, we all three didn't expected response like "Welcome" from her at that stage.
Looks like rural India is growing faster than we think, which means India has great hopes of shine from rural in future

8yI second your view point and I have also experienced similar kind of incidents elsewhere in the rural pockets of West Bengal. What is more important is now the government should act more sensibly intelligently
