Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Java with Scala Developer to join our development team in Greenwood Village, Colorado. This role is ideal for local candidates who are comfortable working onsite and are passionate about building scalable, high-performance applications using modern backend technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Java and Scala
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, architects, and QA engineers
Write clean, efficient, and testable code
Implement and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices
Optimize application performance and scalability
Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement processes
Debug and resolve complex technical issues
Ensure adherence to best practices in software development and agile methodologies
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong programming skills in Java and Scala
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and functional programming
Experience with Spring Boot, similar frameworks
Familiarity with microservices architecture and RESTful services
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and modern DevOps tools
Ability to work independently in an onsite environment
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Qualifications:
Experience in cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
Knowledge of containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
Familiarity with streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, Spark)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
