Samsung delays foundry construction prioritizing memory production.

Samsung has postponed the construction of the P4 and P5 plants in Pyeongtaek, Korea, until 2026, prioritizing the memory lines due to difficulties in securing foundry customers.

TSMC is reportedly launching its 2nm process CyberShuttle service in September.

As per tradition,TSMC offers clients opportunities to submit designs in March and September to support various process projects for the second half of this year and the first half of next year. This round of TSMC's CyberShuttle service is expected to include a 2nm option for the first time, attracting downstream design companies to secure early access.

Intel plans to build an advanced chip research center in Japan, introducing EUV lithography machines.

Intel and a Japanese national research institute will establish an advanced semiconductor manufacturing technoloay R&D center in Japan to boost the country's chip manufacturina equipment and materials industries, where Japan holds a competitive edge. The center, equipped with EUV lithography machines, is expected to be completed within three to five years.

OpenAl has announced a global infrastructure plan and the GPT Next project, aiming to drive a leap in Al technology development.

OpenAl has recently announced two major initiatives marking a new phase for Al technology. CEO Sam Altman revealed plans to invest billions in building alobal infrastructure for Al, includina machines and systems. This effort will start in various U.S. states and aims to create a global investor alliance to support the costly physical infrastructurere quired for rapid Al advancement.
