To Purchase and Deploy or Not?

That is the question?

Last week we had a very open dialog which brought out all views and a different outcome to what we had previously thought.  When you deploy new apps or a new add-in you want them to have real benefit and in “trialling” and testing with the client we realised that it was not going to be fit for purpose and instead focussed on training a different level to manage the product need and support the teams.

 We all know the scoping, trialling, and testing.   But the Human element is still crucial in making decisions and getting buy-in without it the new software doesn’t get used and time, money and resource are wasted.

1. Scoping:

• Identify the business requirements and objectives that the new software should meet.

2. Trialling:

• Install the software in a test environment.
• Train a group of users to use the software and have them test it.
• Gather feedback from the users and evaluate the software's performance, usability, and suitability for the business needs.

3. Testing:

• Conduct thorough testing of the software, including functional, performance, and security testing.
• Identify and report any issues or bugs to the software vendor for resolution.
• Once all issues have been resolved, the software can be deployed in the production environment.
