Programmed Decision Making a risk to diversity
Don't waste your time to read this! I have little to offer in this article but the topic is the message. There is a school of thought that seem to be driving the idea that Humans are irrational and thus decisions made from the lowest level to the high level are being plagued by these irrational thought leading to consequences.
Of course this is somewhat true and more so important for diversity amongst the people of the world. Let's imagine a perfect decision - well there must be a theory of proper decision making. While I have no knowledge of such a theory, as yet, I do believe such a theory will foster the collection of all relevant information before a decision is made. Of course in a perfect work even when you get all information, you will seem realise that the presence of information or lack thereof is not the key facet in making decision at the human level.
The key facet is humanity - diversity and some may add situational.
Take the best planning units of the world, the army, they have so much resource, information and some best thinkers. However much have their done by way of Excellence in the decision making process......
Grenada and 1983 is a perfect example.
Take the Financial Sector, 1929 and 2008 are excellent examples.
Then take the Car owner, yourself. Your car last car purchase is largely based on external forces and no to little about your thought process. If you would think about the ideal vehicle, you would opt for fast horse and carriage with good suspension for the short trips.
No one would spend 8 hours or more in an airplane know that it takes seconds to move from point A to point B. However we choose to fly rather than travel.
