Problems of learning After Effects

Learning After Effects sometimes can be a long and a boring journey. It requires patience and dedication to master the program.

Because in the start everything is against you. 

It is just the Idea that supports your decision of going forward and learning new skills. 

It was the same for me, and for every single person who uses After Effects. 

Why is everything against you? 

Everything is always against you when you start to do something new.  

Mainly, because it is not a habit yet, and because it requires YOU to do everything yourself. 

Think about this: 

It is easy to change your mind and stop doing something when you have never done it before. It is not a major change that will impact you if you stop.

It’s not even a decision to stop, it is an automatic response when you stop giving effort. You just forget it and move on with something else.

But when it transforms into a habit, when you spent time and effort, when you are doing what you are doing, then a sudden stop is a change that you notice immediately.

It is the same for any skill. You must do it and try and repeat it, and only then, when you really start the engine, and it becomes an everyday thing, and it brings results at last. 

It was the exact same for me.

When I started to use After Effects, it was easy because it was the peak of my interest and curiosity. 

But keep in mind, 

Only me and me pushed me forward, 

That powerful interest and curiosity fades away overtime, 

And only a shallow reflection of the promises remains. 

That is the hardest part. 

Do you agree? 

The hardest and best part of the journey is the buildup. 

For me, it is certainly. 

I cannot explain how to go through the difficulty, everybody should do that themselves. 

But only after the difficulties can I analyze and conclude what worked and what did not. And that built my habit.

It is a double-sided coin. 

One side of the coin faces the world, 

Everybody, including you, sees it. 

It reflects your skills, best moments, best work, it reflects YOU. 

The shiny side that is shown to the whole world. 

But the other side faces the table. 

Only you acknowledge what is on that side. 

It is a concrete foundation where the shiny side of the coin stands. 

This is the basement of your accomplishments, that is earned through work.

You either have both sides of the coin, or you do not have the coin at all. Chose it yourself.

Learning this program is a task for yourself, 

This is the worst and best thing at the same time. 

It is difficult. Yes. 

It is amazing when it is done. Yes. 

Same as any task, same as any problem. 

In conclusion, I will say: 

It's not about the program, it never is, (This program is amazing). It is about you.

Learning anything in life is an arduous task, that must be done if you really want to achieve success. 

The number one thing that slows you down is yourself. 

There is no magic spell, or shortcut, or a secret way that nobody wants you to hear.

It is purely a matter of effort. 

I may be just a scholar, a new learner, 

But I do understand one thing:  

Everything comes with real effort.
