PostgreSQL Blogs—Mappings from PostgreSQL Data Types to Java; Boolean Three-Valued Logic; JSON Data Types and Operations
Another meta-blog, just in time for Christmas - this time on my three-part PostgreSQL series (Parts 1, 2, 3). These focussed on data type mappings to Java, the very odd PostgreSQL Boolean three-valued logic type (there’s a demo Java three-valued logic implementation available), and JSON data types and operators. This background turned out to be very handy for an alternative path for the pipeline series, involving NOAA JSON tidal data, Kafka Connect, PostgreSQL, and Apache Superset, giving me a grand total of 8 PostgreSQL blogs this year.
I was pleasantly surprised (given my complete lack of PostgreSQL experience previously) that these blogs were enough to push me into the leaderboards on Planet PostgreSQL (briefly, the articles scroll off the bottom eventually). As usual, here are all the blogs.
