Our Recycling Initiatives - John Lewis & Partners

This week we're celebrating #RecycleWeek and we're proud to offer our customers different ways they can recycle their old products. Below, we've listed 5 of our initiatives which are helping customers think about how they can reduce waste when shopping with us.

The Reuse Network

It's 10 years since we started working with the Reuse Network, an initiative that donates preloved sofas to those in need. Since this work started, we've collected over 47,000 sofas and supported over 13,000 house holds.

BeautyCycle

One of our more recent initiatives, BeautyCycle, launched in 2019 and encourages My John Lewis Members to bring in five or more clean empties into any of our beauty halls for us to recycle. Customers then receive £5 off their next beauty purchases.

Large Electrical Recycling

When we deliver new appliances to our customer's homes, our Partners can remove their existing appliances for recycling or to re-use where possible.

Mattress Recycling

Similarly, when delivering your new cosy mattress, we can also collect your old one and dispose of it responsibly. We'll also remove and dispose of any packaging that comes with your new mattress.

Headboard Recycling

Looking to change your headboard too? We'll also take this away for your and make sure that it is disposed off responsibly.
