My World of Tomorrow Summit for Business Connexion
For two years in a row we ensured a technologically advanced and visually impactful My World of Tomorrow Summit hosted at Sandton Convention Centre, which showcased the latest in innovation in IT.
The main plenary setup was always a sight to behold, with year one being one long continuous projection screen across the back of the stage, and year 2 being a set with multiple screens each with its own image source.
And here is year 2:
For year one we also did a long 12m interactive tunnel which responded to motion when you walk through the tunnel to make for an interesting welcome to the event.
There was also a number of smaller breakaway setups that we did for the Summit on both years. This was year one:
And this was year 2:
Both years, we did circular registration counters with iPads to make check in quick and efficient. Year one we also did RFID tags with self check in on mobile and the ability to share information with the touch of the tag.
Innovation was always first and foremost on agenda, and we demonstrated technology in a number of ways. The first was our glass projection touch screens.
The ever popular holographic units, called Dreamoc, once again made an appearance.
In year 2 we built Business Connexion's exhibition stand as well and we used a really cool idea building a geodesic dome as their outer structure, demonstrating the connected dots for the Internet of Things (iot). Inside the dome we had the mammoth 3m Holographic unit that is viewable from all sides. We also attached a number of plasma screens throughout the dome to play videos and put some touch items for customers to learn more about Business Connexion.
On each of the corners of the dome we build 4 meeting pods where customers and staff could engage with each other.
Here is the 3D holographic content we created for the 3m Cheoptics unit.
Some additional technology that we showcased at the event were items like our digital graffiti wall.
As well as a station that demonstrated Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and Gesture Recognition systems that can turn hand movement into touch, as well as a glasses-free 3D screen.
Other tech included simulators with a golf sim as well as our motion driving sim.
To assist delegates we even developed an agenda app to communicate exactly what was on at any given time.
Client had this to say to us post the event: "Thank you Paul to you and your team. We look forward to having our own little get together and celebrating this great success. TO YOU AND YOUR TEAM A BIG THANKS FROM BCX."
