My Dream Job at WHOOP Starts Today

I’m absolutely thrilled to announce that I’ve joined WHOOP as Chief Product Officer. My passion for fitness, interest in data science, and knowledge of behavioral design coupled with over twenty years of product experience make this role a perfect fit. WHOOP is dialed into a massive market opportunity to reshape the way people manage their sleep, recovery, and strain to reach their performance goals.

While today is my first official day as an employee, I’ve been an advisor to WHOOP since the company’s early days. I’m familiar with the mission, the team, and the product, which will allow me to hit the ground running. Here’s what excites me most about the current product and our path ahead.

1.    WHOOP changes lives. I’ve been a customer for years and have grown to rely on WHOOP to interpret my body’s signals. I’ve seen the positive impact it has on energy level, mental health, fitness, and performance firsthand. Seeing how WHOOP is being used to combat the spread of COVID-19 only extends the product’s value.

2.    The product is highly differentiated. It’s the only wearable built from the ground up to be worn 24/7 providing unique personalized insights about the human body to unlock performance.

3.    The technology is outstanding. While most consumers won’t even notice, the technical infrastructure built by the engineering team to make such a sophisticated product “just work” is a monumental achievement, and it offers a strong foundation for future product development.

4.    The sky is the limit. Future generations of our proprietary hardware and software will create new insights, provide greater motivation, shape behaviors, and ultimately yield even better outcomes for an ever-increasing number of WHOOP customers.

I can honestly say I’ve never been so excited to start a new role. I look forward to helping the existing (and growing) team to realize the company’s fullest potential by helping WHOOP customers realize theirs. Now it’s time to get to work!
