Moving job internationally should not be a telesales operation

Moving job internationally should not be a telesales operation

An increasing number of recruitment companies are offering international job opportunities to candidates even though they have no physical presence in the region they propose to send you to. The least you should expect from your recruitment consultant is that they have bothered to take the time to meet the company that they suggest you work for and the only way you can do that is by having a physical presence in the region. Yes you can use technology to virtually meet employers but that doesn't help you understand the local culture, working environment, legislation, tax environment and way of life. Your recruiter should be able to give you genuine insight to not just the role and process but everything you need to know about living in the location.

I wouldn't trust my international career move to a telesales operation - would you?
