Motivation-has an Algorithm !

Employees, spouses, youth- we all have a motivation crisis at some juncture in the path of life. Life itself is an employer playing the greatest business games ever. You either play safe or you prefer the right path making it all the more difficult to make choices.

What is Motivation?

A word that conspires into giving a meaningful path, a vision, a thought that enables a person to think beyond circumstances for a bigger achievement.

I have always personified it. My struggles have helped me make Motivation work like a spouse for me. Motivation is the giving up of selfness to acquire selflessness. You believe in the force that exists beyond every living existence- WILL.

I have been able to (with just a little over my 3 decades of life) discover my algorithm for Motivation :

  1. Quit Cribbing : Look at the bigger picture; if you never had fallen you could have never walked. I know tough times truly break your spine, mentally, physically, spiritually and socially. It is absurd if I ask one to see the bigger picture. How do you do it?
    • You could write your story part by part, concentrating on the best memories
    • You could look into the mirror and praise yourself or talk, cry, laugh, jump, yell-anything that might release the extra energy piling up due to rapid growth in thoughts
    • You could burst a cold drink pouch with the right foot (like in your childhood)
    • See your child grow, practically see the smile when you teach him/her to laugh when a fall happens. Practice what you preach.
  2.  Make a new Friend:
    • Break the routine; make a new friend who could pep you. Or, get in touch with someone already befriended and who could take your lows and get you high!
    • Dream of your dreams and maintain a friendship with them. It will pay off. You will receive continuous energy through it.
    • Talk to this friend regularly-may be your pet too.
  3.  Practical approach:
    • Work one step at a time towards your goal (I don't speak on goal setting....tough times call for immediate goals).
    • Accept good, bad, ugly and all works because it helps you define and refine perspectives. Do not compromise dignity though.
    • Scratch out those people off your life who do not add to your life but simply ruin your confidence.
  4.  LOVE:
    • L for Look into details, the untold story!
    • O for Observe meanings, patterns, routines and people
    • V for Verify implications, interpretations, suggestions, modes and plans
    • E for Express exactness, truth, relativity, diplomacy at the right time
  5. Smile: Always smile. It is important. A smile can win you battles. It discourages notions about being bogged down.
  6. Meditate/Concentrate: Take time for yourself, sit silent and concentrate into something blank. Close your eyes and you can see all thoughts pass by and then you will find a time when stability sets in. That's when you have the maximum energy to think straight!

I hope some of you find this post useful! Leave your comments to simplify and add to this if you wish.

Thanks.
