MLSP 2018 DATA COMPETITION - CALL FOR PROPOSAL
We invite data competition proposals for the 2018 IEEE International Workshop on Machine Learning for Signal Processing (http://mlsp2018.conwiz.dk/home.htm) in Aalborg, Denmark, September 17-20, 2018.
SCOPE
The goal of the competition is to advance the current state-of-the-art in theoretical and practical aspects of machine learning and signal processing domains. The problems are selected to reflect current trends, evaluate existing approaches on common benchmarks, and identify critical new areas of research. We look for standard competitions where participants compete to obtain the best score on a machine learning or data science problem based on criteria defined by the organizers of the competition. Winners will be announced, and awards will be given at the workshop. There will be time slots during MLSP where competition results can be discussed and presented. The main conference will provide poster facilities as well if needed.
DATA SCIENCE COMPETITION PROPOSAL SUBMISSION
Please submit your competition proposals the competition chairs, with email subject "MLSP Competition Proposal: [title of your competition]". A proposal should be no more than two pages, with clear outline of the rational, format, tentative timeline, and short bio of the organizers. It is possible to include papers into the proceeding from winners of the data competition. The organizer should state in the proposal if they want to pursue this option.
