MENTORS or MIRRORS?
I feel it is important that you have mentors, because you need to have artistic, spiritual, and ethical dialogues.
A good #mentor is an eternal support, a point of reference.
Over the years I had numerous corporate mentors who are stalwarts of their fields with lots of experience and keep you accountable for living up to your personal and professional standards of excellence as an #entrepreneur and #leader. .. and I still continue to have them.
But recently, I have encountered mentors who are smart fresh college grads mostly #genz who introduces innovative approaches to help me create work that I can be proud of. They act like my mirrors, to stay relevant in the world of instant messaging & social handles, especially during virtual offices and #wfh days!
They help and guide me (sometimes boldly) to follow my passion with my heart and soul while having fun at work. They make me feel young at heart!!

Here, as a #mentee part of my job is to help them to think for themselves while gently encouraging differences. I want them to be independent, creative and confident. I do not want them to depend on me just because I am older or because they report into me. I want them to open their wings and find their own artistic voice.
The #pandemic affirmed that we all must adapt, grow, and think out of the box! Make things possible in spite of the limitations, be hopeful and courageous.
To be an entrepreneur is to be true to yourself, to acknowledge your darkest corners and your brightest moments. It requires constant internal growth, a thirst to grow, to improve, to develop, and to evolve. .. and a mentor by your side, makes it easier!
A good mentor is an eternal support, a point of reference irrespective of age, gender, culture, skills and years of experience.

3yAbsolutely agree Payeli Ghosh di. Long gone those days where 'age' is how we have to measure knowledge or learnings from. It's time to imbibe learnings irrespective what age group we belong. In my team, we folks are from 20+ to 30+ , but as long as the mindset is of mentoring and learning from each other, it's a seamless atmosphere. 😊
