Master Digital Transformation

Sometimes, even those who can imagine the future are silent about it, and I can understand why. It may be challenging to comprehend their ideas. For instance, if someone were to tell you today that there will be a new stage of evolution beyond AI, quantum computing, and industry 4.0, and that these technologies will seem primitive compared to what we'll see by 2035, you might find it hard to digest. But could it be true?

Why it's important to try and understand technology trends and transformation?

Try to think about it this way, think of all the businesses that once were just running standalone, take a look at the repair shop, the hair salon, small supermarkets...etc, not long ago they were just operating without a need to almost any of the digital tools we have now, but can any of these businesses still operate, or will keep operating without let's say an email account, credit card machine, computer, a website?

Ask yourself this question, is that digital transformation, or is it digital enforcement?

In today's competitive landscape, small or medium businesses must either adapt and transform or risk being left behind.

I love traditional businesses because they have a unique spirit, chemistry, and feel to them. From the street grocery store to the florist near my home, these businesses evoke a sense of nostalgia and familiarity. However, with the recent rapid digital transformation, many small businesses, startups, and business leaders are searching for new ways to grow their businesses while trying to keep up. That's why I wanted to write about digital transformation

I've always believed that what truly matters is how you deal with change or unexpected events, rather than the events themselves
Digitalisation is the biggest challenge for SMEs

Researching, learning, and expanding your knowledge are one of the best ways to understand the changes and future of digital transformation. However, it's also important to consider potential challenges, such as what would happen if someone tripped on the cord. Have you thought about your contingency plans? Or is the focus solely on digital transformation?

I just finished the Master Digital Transformation learning path, and I wanted to share my experience with you and how useful I found it, not only to have an idea of where we are going, but to establish a good idea of the risk "if we don't" which is part of another research, and what is all this DT costing us, for example, did you know that it takes roughly 10 gallons of water to make a single computer chip. That may not sound like much, but multiply it by the millions of chips made each year, I hope this gives you an idea about what I'm talking about. So back to the DT learning path, it's somewhat practical and will for sure strengthen your knowledge. Depending on how much time you can spare to learn, it would take 5 months to finish it at 2 hours of learning a week, it has a lot of quizzes, even tests to see how you progress. In my opinion, what's more, important than understanding the technical aspects of emerging technologies such as quantum computing is understanding their potential applications and impact on the future. So, don't worry about passing all the technical tests – I certainly didn't 😅

But what is Digital Transformation anyways?

Digital transformation refers to the integration of digital technologies into all areas of a business, fundamentally changing how it operates and delivers value to customers. This can involve the use of technologies such as cloud computing, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT), and data analytics to improve business processes, enhance customer experiences, and develop new products and services.

Digital transformation often involves a cultural shift in how a business thinks and operates, as well as changes in its organizational structure and workforce. It can also require significant investment in technology, infrastructure, and training.

The goal of digital transformation is to leverage the power of technology to increase efficiency, agility, and innovation, while also meeting the changing needs and expectations of customers in a rapidly evolving digital landscape. By embracing digital transformation, businesses can stay competitive and relevant in an increasingly digital world.

The Master Digital Transformation path will help you discover how to navigate digital transformation long term, explore the technologies that drive digital transformation, and discover design thinking and agile practices for innovation.

There are a lot of things that I enjoyed in the DT learning path one of which is the way Jonathan Reichental presented the technology and talked about it, Dr. Jonathan, explanation about for example Quantum Computing and Blockchain was perfect in a way that is easy for someone who is from a different industry to understand it and establish an idea about the technology. During the Master Digital Transformation learning path, you will explore the transformative and technological forces at work and ways to use them for the long-term success of your organization. You will also discover how to use design thinking and other agile practices for innovation.

Doug Rose explains in an uncomplicated computer-enhanced artificial intelligence (AI) and how new sensors help machines have more accurate sight, hear sounds, and understand the location, and how powerful processors can help computers make complex decisions, sort through possibilities, plan outcomes and learn from mistakes. If you want to have a better understanding of cognitive tech for leaders then Ian Barkin part about RPA, AI, and Cognitive Tech for Leaders is also a must-watch it outlines how new technologies—from robotic process automation (RPA) to machine learning (ML)—have altered the way that companies do business. Ian Barkin shows how to filter out the noise, properly set expectations, and prepare your organization for a smooth digital transformation journey.

During these courses, experts provide valuable information, here are some examples
