Building the Engine Under the Hood

We're ingesting millions of vessel positions daily, but that's just the foundation. The real work happens in how we overlay this with tariff databases, regulatory feeds, and historical patterns. Our data science team (i.e. me and a lot of coffee) has built models that can spot correlations human analysts would miss.
For example, I've found that certain types of regulatory announcements in specific Asian markets typically precede tariff adjustments by 3-4 weeks – a pattern that's nearly impossible to spot without machine learning, but creates a valuable early warning system for shippers.
