LIBERTY Spotlight: Carmen Torres

Building relationships at LIBERTY is important, not just external relationships, but internal too. Carmen Torres, Network Manager in the Northeast is a prime example of what it means to build relationships both internally and externally.

Carmen’s story is unique but is not a coincidence. She started working for LIBERTY in 2012 but left in 2015 for another company and, in the time, she was away from LIBERTY, she met a handful of other colleagues, whom she now currently works with at LIBERTY. One of the managers Carmen had at her previous location decided to make the switch to LIBERTY and asked Carmen to join her at LIBERTY Thankfully Carmen decided to come back.

LIBERTY employees weren’t the only ones excited for her to come back. Our providers where pleased to hear her voice on the end of their phone calls again. “When I spoke with one of our providers, she was like, ’Oh my God, you know, I will never forget how helpful you were. You were so patient and walked me through the process of contracting,’ but that’s what I'm here for. You know, whatever you need,” explained Carmen.

It's understandable why LIBERTY wanted her back. According to Northeast President, Anne Weeks, “She handles a huge volume of provider interactions including education and outreaching activities in addition to resolving issues.  The provider offices love her, and she is very accessible to them.

Carmen explained that her department oversees 500 offices, which can sound overwhelming, but Carmen expressed her passion for her job helps her with the hustle she must have to get the job done. “I love servicing the providers,” she expressed. “I love being able to help offices by doing the research, to get back to them with options on how to fix any issues they may be having. I just love that relationship.”
