Learning and Development - Pledge for Earth Day

Earth Day is an annual event dedicated to environmental awareness. Celebrations range from tree planting ceremonies to marathons, to conducting earth/climate awareness programmes around the world that benefit the environment. Chrysalis has been doing its bit to be environmentally friendly and sustainable by advocating the SDG goals set up by the United Nations thus, supporting the theme of Earth Day 2022, i.e., “Invest in our planet”. Chrysalis has created a list of easy actions that you can take and bring the aura of green life in your Learning and Development.

  1. Digitally Stronger and Efficient Learning: Since 2018, we have gone entirely digital for Participant Handbooks, Handouts and Assessments, digital attendance that drastically reduced our paper consumption and helped in information retention. Our Learning solutions through Technology-Based Learning have provided a blend of digitalization and learning sustenance consequently creating and delivering results-based learnings. Simultaneously, we are advocating SDG 12 thus, focusing on consumption and production balance.
  2. Life on Land: We adopted a tradition of planting trees whenever we have an occasion to celebrate at Chrysalis and till now, we have planted more than 1300 trees, aiding communities to reclaim the lost forest lands in Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, and Maharashtra.
  3. Good Health and Wellbeing: Chrysalis has promoted the importance of mental health and emotional well-being which equip our learners with skilled tools and techniques to strike a work-life balance for the development of healthy habits finally promoting inclusive and sustainable economic growth which turns into productive employment for all.
  4. E-Learning: With bespoke and highly engaging content in addition to multiple platforms for delivery, we provide learning opportunities with flexibility so that learners can learn at their own pace. Also, we adhere to SDG 4, which aims at ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong opportunities for all.

So, this is the moment to change it all — the business climate, the political climate, and how we act on climate. For Earth Day 2022, we need to act (boldly), innovate (broadly), and implement (equitably). It’s going to take all of us. All in. Businesses, governments, and citizens — everyone accounted for, and everyone accountable. A partnership for the planet.

Remember:

You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you… What you do makes a difference, and you must decide what kind of difference you want to make.
