Infor FSM | How To: Use Wildcard Searches in Custom Group for Bank Statement Categories

If you are a MSSQL user just like me, you may have been used to using the percentage "%" character after the Like operand to perform a wildcard search.

One thing to note when working with Custom Groups and Bank Statement Categories is that while the "%" character will display the bank statement lines when using preview in the Custom Group page, this does not work for the automatic identification of categories for bank statement lines.

Here is an example.

Note: The bank statement line which met the condition was displayed in the preview. However, when you load bank statements this will not perform automatic categorization of bank statement lines that meet the condition built above.

It takes a little bit of getting used to but do take this in mind when working with bank statement categories. Otherwise, you might just end up with plenty of uncategorized bank statement lines.
