India, prepare for the next biggest national disaster!

Yesterday, the Maharashtra State Government (India) described the second wave of COVID-19 as a “national disaster”. Yes, that's quite true. However, has anybody noticed that India needs to prepare for the next major disaster? It is "Medi waste". The majority percentage of the Indians lack cleanliness and healthy lifestyle which one of the major factors for the rise in corona infections and deaths. During this process, people started using random masks as government levied a rule of wearing a mask in public.

In Delhi, it is asserted that there is a dual mutant in the virus. That is the reason why some people claim (warn) people to wear two masks (one cloth & one surgical). I wonder whether the number of virus mutations is directly proportional to the number of masks to be used by individuals? Do you have any idea how the use of surgical masks (mostly disposable) will create unprecedented disturbance to the environment. Most of the Indians do not use effective garbage facilities. They throw the masks onto fields, lakes and drainages. Despite the fact that the mask is made of recyclable polypropylene, India is not in a position to carry out the recycling process. Evidently, the ground water starts depleting. Today, in India, the fatalities are due to a lack of oxygen. If people don't consider this disposal seriously now, India would experience the deaths due to lack of water. So, get accustomed washable/recyclable masks. Choose surgical masks only if it is essential and in no-option situations.

Don't follow every headline bluntly. Think about it and make your own judgment in using double masks. Because our next generation needs to see a better environment. Lets not spoil it. Act like a man, not a clown!
