I’m fortunate to work in an industry where our collective mission is to create a healthier and more vibrant life for all. This mission motivates us to keep impact and access at the center of every decision we make.

Today I begin my tenure as Chair of the AdvaMed Board of Directors, and this opportunity to lead our industry has me envisioning a future that is within reach…

A future where our health care system is so resilient that, even in times of crisis, patients have uninterrupted access to high-quality care.  

A future where physicians, scientists and medical professionals use data intelligence to make meaningful improvements for patient outcomes.

A future where we have a more equitable healthcare system, one in which our industry represents the patients and communities we serve. 

As Chair of AdvaMed, I’m proud to have the opportunity to advance our industry toward greater innovation and access to care for patients around the world. To make this happen, my priorities are to:   

• Build a more resilient healthcare system by mitigating supply chain risk through improved coordination with our health system partners, government, industry, and public-private partnerships, so that patients receive uninterrupted care even in times of crisis. 
• Drive digital transformation in medical technology by advancing ethical and effective data governance and patient privacy policies that protect the responsible use of data to meaningfully improve patient care. 
• Ensure our industry reflects the patients we serve by instituting programs that increase diverse representation in the medtech industry and throughout clinical research. 

I’ve seen the impact AdvaMed has had on advancing policies that improve patient access to safe, effective, and innovative medical technologies. Together we will continue to imagine new ways that medtech can save and improve lives and support medical professionals who are on the front lines of care.  

For decades, we have witnessed how the tremendous power of research, technology, and compassionate care lead to eradicating disease, improving health, and giving hope to millions. As we go forward, we will continue to measure our impact in lives saved and enhanced, with a determination to improve access for all. Our success means longer, healthier lives for so many.
