Humanitarian Challenges Discussed at the Chicago Conference

Dear Friends, Donors, and Volunteers,

One of my favorite quotes, often attributed to Harry Truman, says, “It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.” While there’s truth in that, our recent discussions at the MedGlobal and Razom conference in Chicago reminded me that recognition, especially for partnerships, plays a vital role in advancing the work we do on the ground.

Dr. Douglas Davis receiving the Partner Award from Dr. Zaher Sahloul – sharing recognition for the partnerships that have driven critical humanitarian efforts in Ukraine.

The partnership between MedGlobal and Give to the World , along with numerous other organizations, has enabled us to make a meaningful impact in Ukraine. This work isn’t possible without the collective efforts of remarkable individuals and groups such as Be an Angel e.V. , Friends of Be an Angel , Rotary Club of Milwaukee , Ukrainian Medical Association of North America-UMANA , and so many others. Each organization plays a critical role, and together, we’ve been able to reach communities and deliver the care they so urgently need.

These insights from the conference underscore the importance of the work we’re doing, not just in Ukraine, but globally. I wanted to share this with you so that you can better understand the challenges we face and why it is so essential to continue providing support to these efforts.

Thank you for standing with us. Your commitment to this work makes all the difference, and it ensures that we can continue to reach those who need us most in the most challenging circumstances.

With gratitude,

Doug Davis
