How are you designed to work to achieve material success?

How are you designed to work to achieve material success?

We have lost sight of ourselves and are fixated on discovering how to do everything OUT THERE.

Self-reliance is no longer revered. It’s more – look at others, copy and hopefully achieve what they are achieving.

This looks and sounds logical except, we are not them.

Of course we understand that we are different. We don’t look like anyone else and our fingerprints are all different. We have different body types, and ways our bodies react to food, allergens, medications etc. We know that our bodies are marvelous machines but that has lost its appeal because we take it for granted. Its doing what its doing and we’re over here doing our thing. We grateful but we ain’t getting too deep!

Yet there is so much more to you than meets the eye.

You are not your exam results. You are not just your skills and talents you have acquired. You are wired to think, behave and process differently. You see the world differently. Your world view is unique. How you use your energy is different. The length of time you can focus is different. How you learn is different. How you assimilate and process is different. The problems you see, no one else does, nor can they solve using your approach.

With all of this difference, why are you still pursuing a world of sameness?

Because we have been conditioned all our lives to think same, not different. We have feared standing out. We have always strived to fit in.

Imagine if schools actually helped kids identify their strengths by exploring their talents from a young age and growing their skills over the 12 years, instead of letting them all follow the same routine like sheep and leaving them confused in life after graduation. - Tallie Dar, CEO - Tallie Communications

The way the education system is designed, caters to managing and keeping children in line, controlling behaviours, and ensuring that we are kept on the right track: go to primary school, go to secondary school, go to university, get a GOOD job.

This approach is counter to the word education, the origin of which is from the Latin root educare. ‘Educare’ means ‘to lead out or bring forth’. It implies that through organized questions – knowledge, understanding and the potential of children have to be brought out.

Yet our minds were never freed at school, but programmed.

We were not encouraged to celebrate our unique and vibrant spirits but to learn to hide it, to feel shame around it perhaps because we were being ‘seen’ too much. It’s no wonder we are struggling today with achieving material success.

Believe it or not – a lack of material success is linked to how we have been taught and what we continue to do as a result of that teaching – ignore who we are and follow the masses.

Material success begins with an examination of WHO YOU ARE. Not a gloss over but a deep dive to understanding ALL of what you are really bringing to the table. Only then can you consider how to package what you’ve discovered and communicate that value to those willing to pay for your expertise.

This clarity will help you understand what you’re meant to be doing – what is the business you’re actually in – what are the solutions you are meant to provide.

The person who has the answers is the man or woman looking at you every morning in the mirror. This stranger, has the answers. Your job is to reconnect with this wise soul who will not lead you astray.

This process is the necessary work you must do if you find yourself struggling. There is a lot of deconditioning that needs to happen. Impossible – no. Challenging – definitely. Worth it – absolutely!

Whenever you are ready, check out the work I am doing now, after years of copying others (and I’m talking 40 plus years or perhaps more of it). It is exhausting, debilitating and painful to be someone you are not.

Give yourself the gift of getting reacquainted to the YOU who is ready to stand out, and be recognized.
