How To Succeed On #GivingTuesday

Here is how to succeed annually with #GivingTuesday fundraising campaigns:

Establish clear goals.

Plan it strategically.

Create a unique #GivingTuesday campaign theme.

Focus upon new donors.

Go after small gifts not just large ones.

Use the right timing.

Inspire millennials to donate.

Recruit evangelists and social media ambassadors to make it viral.

Provide them regular fundraising updates.

Do the same with your social media followers.

Develop great graphics, images and videos.

Provide promotional content and visuals to help them spread the word.

Utilize peer-to-peer fundraising pages when possible,

Use compelling stories and short videos to motivate giving.

Consider scheduling a Facebook live event to connect with your followers.

Develop social media images with a clear and compelling call to action.

Take a multichannel approach.

Make its fundraising fun!

Use a micro peer-to-peer approach.

Integrate it into your larger narrative.

Be highly social.  

Use matching gifts and challenge grants.

Follow up and follow through.
