How Should You Respond When Donors Say "No"?

As you solicit support for an important cause inevitably you will be turned down by a prospective donor. When you view a no in the context of the relationship, a no becomes a step towards a yes. This liberating idea with strategies is discussed in this video presentation.

Well done Martin. If we are not getting no's, we are not asking enough. I like to count my no's just like my yeses. Depending on the donor file and the situation, I know that I will get 6-7 no's for every yes. Having that knowledge prevents me from getting blocked or sidetracked from the no's.

So nice to hear from you, Colleen! I am happy to see that you are sticking with the fundraising field and involved in such honorable work. Best wishes -- Martin
