How To Overcome Bad Habits And Become Better Every Day
There are many ways to overcome bad habits and gain good ones.
Thousands of stories have been written about it, and every time you read a new method or piece of advice, you agree with it or not. It depends on whether you believe what is said or not. Today I want to expose you to my personal way to overcome bad habits.
It's a very simple but powerful method.
Every action you take in life is a choice about who you will be in the future.
Think about it.
We all know that feeling when you want to go out to run, but the weather is not so good, so you need to decide. If you choose to go out for a run, you are choosing to be healthier and stronger. If you choose to stay at home, you are choosing to be lazy and less healthy, and you are training your brain to make excuses.
You are electing the future yourself.
Let’s say you are a DevOps engineer.

If you choose to study, you choose to become more educated and, as a result, a more valuable DevOps engineer. If you choose to watch the movie, you are choosing to entertain yourself.
If you choose to eat snacks and drink soda while watching the movie, you are are choosing to be less healthy.
I’m not saying watching movies is bad. Watching movies can be excellent relief for the brain. And no matter what, sometimes you just want to lie on the couch and watch a movie. And honestly, nothing wrong will happen if you watch the movie. You won’t become less educated from couple of movies. But what if you watched it every day for a week? For a month? For a year? This will definitely affect you.
You must understand that you are the one who chose this and that your choice will affect your future. Take responsibility. Remember, your current self is the result of past decisions.
One of my personal ways to overcome bad habits is to ask myself a few questions every time I need to make a choice:
I hope that this simple method will help you overcome your bad habits and make you a little better day after day.
