Hadoop World choice winners. And iMStor platform we built
I really was fortunate to having led an initiative called iMStor that was later selected among winners to be presented @ Hadoop World. As I reflect back at the details of what we were trying to do, lot of that is coming to fruiting now given that most of the NoSQL storage technologies have matured as well as traffic patterns that use them as underlying storage technology.
Enterprise Data Architecture Track: iMStor Storage based tiering platform. Really felt proud of the team that I had the honor to lead. Subsequently we implemented iMStor at 2 customer sites resulting in significant benefits from read/write performance as well as scalability underlying the platform. The underlying platform was able to efficiently work in a pseudo "Data as a Service" mode without the user understanding underlying details of what and where things are getting stored.
Today, I am seeing similar concepts being deployed at AWS/GCP/Azure platforms.
