The government is forecast to update its Zero Emissions Vehicles (ZEV) Mandate following record electric vehicle (EV) sales in the first quarter of 2025. Hoping to take advantage of this growth, Chinese manufacturer Leapmotor has launched two new EV models in the UK.

The update is to help boost EV take-up further following a record start to the year for sales.
Electrify Britain and 35 companies, including Octopus Energy and EDF, have called upon the government to remove levies to help fight fuel poverty and speed up heat pump roll outs in the UK.
