GOD HAS A WORD FOR YOU EVEN IN THAT “EXILE”, FIND IT.

FOUNDATION SCRIPTURE:

◄ Jeremiah 29:1-5 ►

"Now these are the words of the letter that Jeremiah the prophet sent from Jerusalem unto the residue of the elders of the captivity, and to the priests, and to the prophets, and to all the people, whom Nebuchadnezzar had carried away captive from Jerusalem to Babylon,......."

HOLY SPIRIT, HAVE YOUR WAY.

Great and successful day to all! Today, let us imagine the state of mind of these people in exile, displaced, separated from your loved ones and your homeland. This was the reality for the Israelites exiled in Babylon. Yet, in the midst of despair, Jeremiah 29:1-5 offers a beacon of hope.

Those verses aren't just a historical record; it's a message for anyone feeling lost or out of place. Even in “exile”, God has a purpose for us. The letter Jeremiah sent wasn't a message of despair, but a call to action and a promise of restoration. What do you see in that situation you are in right now?

There are things happening in our lives sometimes that can make us feel or seem lost, but that doesn't mean we're purposeless. In Fact whenever we find ourselves here, our purpose is about to be made clearer to us. Imagine if there was no Judas to betray Christ, His death and resurrection wouldn't have been achieved. So today's verse encourages us to actively seek God's purpose in our current situation, no matter what it is.

Allow that situation to build some hope and trust in you. God doesn't abandon us in difficult times. He has a plan, even when we can't see it. These happenings are what instils hope and strengthens our trust in God's faithfulness as believers. Nobody can survive by only consuming sugary foods…..after all.

Recognizing God's presence even in “exile” builds a deeper love for Him into us. His unwavering faithfulness strengthens our faith and trust in His guidance, even when we can't comprehend the why's, the what’s, and the if's.

ACTION STEP: Write down the situation in your life where you feel lost or out of place. Ask yourself, "What can I learn from this experience?" Pray and ask God to reveal His purpose and the word He has for you in it. Amen.

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight."
